Tao Garden RIP

Last night, the driver for our favorite Chinese delivery place, Tao Garden, told us that they're closing for good. It was a sad night. Now I gotta find a new place to get Ma Po Tofu!

The new Blogger

Today I moved my blog over to the 'new' Blogger. Let's see what this puppy can do.

Mo' money on the street

Today I found eleven bucks on the sidewalk. As opposed to last time, I didn't see who dropped it and I didn't see any likely suspects, so I stuffed it in my pocket.

What's the right thing to do? Leave it there in case someone decides to retrace their steps? Even though it's only eleven bucks, that might be all the cash someone had for the day (or until pay day). On the other hand, they were careless with their money. I'm not desperate for cash and could've just left it there, but if it blew into the gutter or something it would be wasted. Did I do the right thing? If not, what's the right thing to do?

Money on the street

I saw a guy drop two 20 dollar bills on the street from about a half block away. At first it looked like he was littering. After grabbing the cash, I ran about a half block to catch him.

Me: Be careful with your money!

Him: Huh? No, I put it in my wallet. Oh, wow, thanks!

I just thought it was funny how he was sure the forty bucks were still in his wallet.

When I got back to my office, a tenant in my building emailed everyone to see if we dropped $10 by the garbage cans.

The economy must be doing well.
